Entrepreneur: Bid On Work helps find the right people for the work needed

Jeff Dumas made a successful career in real estate by flipping houses. He’d buy a clunker, pay for some renovations, then make a profit.
But finding the right person for all the small jobs he was creating proved difficult.

Dumas founded Bid On Work, an online marketplace for services that allows workers to bid on jobs posted by consumers. Customers post job listings rang- ing from tutoring to plumbing to dance lessons, and qualified workers offer services at differ- ent prices.

“I built this site for myself and I’m going to let the world use it,” Dumas said.
